About Bender ARS

Who We Are

Bender ARS (Bender Autonomous Robotic Systems) is a student-run, cross-disciplinary robotics program at Boise State University. Students from every major design, build, and operate autonomous robots that compete in NASA's Lunabotics Challenge at Kennedy Space Center.

Our tagline says it all: Preparing students for industry through practical application. Every subteam, every build cycle, and every competition is structured to give students real engineering experience that translates directly to industry.

Goals for Students

We prepare students for industry through practical application. Every student gains hands-on experience in design, fabrication, software development, testing, and project management. By competing in NASA's Lunabotics Challenge, students work under real constraints with real deadlines, producing real results.
